Answers

 1. Krilo fails to install properly. Help!

There is a small bug in the installation procedure for Windows and BeOS. Updated installers are available from the Download section. If you experience difficulties installing under MacOS or Linux, please contact Customer Support

 2. Why don't I hear the music?

Only the special Holiday Edition of Krilo contains music. The regular version of Krilo only contains the wonderful sound effects, and no music.

 3. Krilo does not fill the screen when running in fullscreen mode. Why?

This is a known issue on some platforms, primarily MacOS. If you desire to play Krilo in fullscreen mode, please adjust the size of your display manually before launching Krilo.

 4. I can't find the editor. Where is it?

You can enter the editor by going to the password screen from the main menu, and typing in the password "editor". On systems with a command line, you may start the game directly in the editor by starting Krilo with the "-edit" command line switch.

 5. The colors look garbled or just plain wrong.

Krilo is designed to run in a 16-bit (thousands of colors) display mode. While some systems will run Krilo at different display depths, we recommend setting your screen to 16-bit for optimal visual quality and performance.

 6. I keep getting my Krilo stuck in a level with no way out. I then have to wait for the time to run out. Is this a bug?

This is not a bug. Some levels require completion in a certain order. Part of the challenge is to find to correct order to break the blocks. If you find yourself stuck, you may press the "Backspace" or "Delete" key to restart the level.

 7. Where are the passwords? After five levels, I still get no password!

Some passwords were missing from the original version of Krilo. If you have not yet done so, please update your installation of Krilo to the latest version.

 8. Krilo moves too fast! He's hard to control!

The speed at which Krilo moves is adjustable via the Option Screen. Note that changing the speed of Krilo does not adjust the game clock or the speed of the Aliens. Some levels may become unplayable if the speed of Krilo is lowered too far.

 9. Where is this "Holiday Edition" I keep hearing about?

The Holiday Edition of Krilo is a special demo version of Krilo first released during the winter holiday season of 1999. It (or a newer edition) will also be freely available for download during the 2000 holiday season.

 10. What is SDL, and why do I need it?

SDL, or the Simple DirectMedia Layer, is a set of tools to make games that run on many different computer systems. Krilo comes with a version of SDL, you do not need anything else to run the game. However, SDL has a special type of license, the GNU Lesser Public License. This special license allows developers and users the chance to collaborate and share common tools for game design.
If you don't understand what this means, don't worry. Just know that it is a good thing. :)
